Mozilla is a free software community best known for producing the Firefox web browser.

Firefox is created by a global non-profit dedicated to putting individuals in control online.

Mozilla  is   GLOBAL CAMPAIGN TO TEACH THE WEB

Why Mozilla throws an annual Maker Party??

Mozilla believes the web is a global public resource that’s integral to modern life, it shapes how we learn, how we connect and how we communicate.

The basic Purpose is to be a citizen of the web. the reason why they are so passionate about teaching web literacy through hands-on learning and making.

Their goal is to help people move beyond simply consuming the web to understanding and creating it, so it remains open, accessible and ours.

Makers party  was started on 6th September 2014 by  Mozilla club ITMU in ITM University.

the main aim of this event is to make Gwalior a part of Mozilla Webmaker Project .

 Event was organised in seminar hall were .Anju chandel explained about WoMoz &Webmaker tool and various ways to contribute in it.

Our mentor  Gautam sharma explained about  "Firefox student ambassador" to different areas of our strength and various ways of contributing in Mozilla like :-

Localization,Support forum,AOA,App dev., Code base etc.

Having fun with tools

Over 100+ participants were taken to the Computer Lab  to get experience on webmaker tools,

 they use it to show there creativities and fun activities. like Thimble, Popcornmaker , X-ray goggle and app maker.

The wonderful array of tools available online to good old pencils and paper.  

Mozilla Webmaker is proud to offer fun, easy-to-use, free tools:

• See the inner working of a webpage with X-Ray Goggles; 
• Learn HTML and CSS using Thimble. 
• remix video, audio and images from the web with Popcorn Maker.
• and build an personal mobile app with Appmaker.

Participant who has good answer and make some awesome stuffs was rewarded to star performers by our mentors.

Introduction to FSA

Creative and resourceful, Student Ambassadors lead campaigns and projects at their colleges and in their communities to encourage others to contribute to Mozilla (and utilize our products). Together, Firefox Student Ambassadors play a large role in helping to improve the global experience of people on the Web.
